Dr. Dale Lumpa, Ed.D.
Dr. Dale Lumpa has been in the education field for over 25
years. He is currently an educator at Charles Hay Elementary in Englewood, Colorado. He has been at Charles Hay for 13 years,
with the first eight being the principal. He made the change from administration to teacher to be able to spend more time
with his two young daughters. Before moving to Colorado, he was the principal of Lawson Elementary in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Prior to elementary administration, he was principal of Simonsen Junior High in Jefferson City, which housed 650 eighth graders
and he handled the discipline daily. He says that is one of the experiences that has prepared him for anything!
Dale has also worked with the University of Denver, Indiana State University and the University of Phoenix as an adjunct professor
teaching classes and workshops. He has also presented at state and national conferences. The focuses of his presentations
have been on effective teaching strategies, positive discipline, classroom management, integrating physical wellness into
the classroom, integrating academics into physical education, and motivating educators.
He has co-authored three books entitled, Motivating and Inspiring Teachers (2nd edition) and Great Quotes for Great Educators
. His workshops are positive, energetic, and will give you ideas and strategies to implement the very next day.
